When it comes to working on fine motor skills with your toddlers and preschoolers, there are a thousand different ways to practice them, but if you’re looking for something simple, fall themed, and that requires very little prep on your part, these fall tracing strips are absolutely perfect!
They’ll have your students strengthening their small motor muscles, working on their pencil grasp, hand-eye coordination, and more!
Preschool Tracing Strips for Fall
When I said that these fall tracing strips require very little prep on your part, I meant it!
We’re all stretched for time, especially in the midst of the back to school season, so for us, having a quick and easy activity like this one in our back pocket that we can pull out at a moment’s notice is essential!
To prep these fall tracing strips for your own students, you’ll need to print the pages off and cut the tracing strips apart.
If you’re using them solely as tracing strips and you’d like for your students to be able to use them repeatedly, simply run them through your laminator and pair them with a dry erase marker.
You could even punch a hole on one end of the cards and stick them on a metal book ring. This makes for really easy storage, but it also makes them portable if you’d like to take this activity on the go!
If you’d like to move beyond simple tracing, you can skip running these fall tracing strips through your laminator and use them for scissor practice instead!
Printable Fall Themed Tracing Strips
In this printable set, you’ll find eight different tracing strips filled with all of the fall themed items that you’d expect like a scarecrow, leaves, apples, and more.
Whether you decide to use them as tracing strips to help your students work on their pencil grasp and pre-writing skills, or you choose to use them as cutting strips and work on those small motor muscles and scissor skills, your students will get an excellent fine motor workout while celebrating the fall season!
