I’m Amber, the creator and writer behind From ABCs to ACTs and I’m so happy that you’re here!
Beyond the website, I’m a mom to 3 rambunctious little learners, ages 5, 3, and a newborn.
Before becoming a stay at home, homeschooling mom, you would have found me in a preschool classroom teaching little ones to use their imaginations and explore the world around them.
I firmly believe that learning is done best through play, exploration, and creativity, and now that I’m teaching my own children, our days are filled with finger painting, nature walks, and finding new ways to build some pretty awesome forts out of pillows and couch cushions.
About the Site
From ABCs to ACTs has grown over the past 3 years to become so much more than a blog.
From the sharing of simple activities that I was doing with my then toddler, the site now hosts hundreds of activity ideas for multiple age groups, making it a fantastic resource for parents, homeschoolers, and teachers.
A lot of what you’ll currently find on the site is geared towards toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary aged children, but with the addition of our Contributor Team, we’ve recently begun adding resources for both middle school and high school aged learners as well.
Are you brand new to homeschooling?
You’re probably feeling a little bit overwhelmed. I know I sure was when I first looked into it, and that was with my previous teaching experience.
We’ve come a long way in our homeschool since those beginning days, and hopefully, some of the information and knowledge that I’ve picked up over the years can help you and your family as well.

Looking for something specific?
We’ve got entire sections of the site that are broken down into subjects and grade levels to help you find just what you’re looking for.
Opening the homeschooling section will allow you to sort through the various subjects on the site including everything from math and science to fine and gross motor activities.
Of course, if you’re looking for more age specific ideas, you can find those here:
