Counting is one of those basic skills that you will practice over and over again with your preschoolers.
It’s such a simple concept, especially counting to 10, but it is one that is vitally important to master in those early years.
Thankfully, there are a ton of fun ways to practice this skill with your little learners and these Thanksgiving turkey counting flashlight cards are one of our favorites!
Just like the rest of our flashlight card sets, this one is going to amaze your students!
With just a flashlight or a bright window, preschoolers will get to experience the “magic” of flashlight cards while also practicing counting from 0 to 10!
Turkey Counting Flashlight Cards
These adorable turkey-themed flashlight cards are not only perfect for the week of Thanksgiving, of course, they’re also a fantastic way to work on counting and one-to-one correspondence!
Counting Thanksgiving Rolls
These little turkeys are hungry and they’re invited to Thanksgiving!
As guests, of course!
And their absolute favorite thing to eat is bread! In fact, some are hungrier than others and they’ll devour every roll on the table before you can blink!
They’ve already eaten several as it is and it’s your students’ job to figure out just how many rolls that each of these turkeys have gobbled up so far!
But with those rolls already eaten, your students will need to use a flashlight to find them before they can count them!
Using the Thanksgiving Counting Flashlight Cards
Like the rest of our flashlight cards these are super easy to prep but they’ll need to be printed correctly in order to work.
To do this, you’ll need to change your printer settings to print on both sides of the paper and flip on the long edge.
Once they’re printed, you’ll simply need to cut them out, run them through your laminator, and grab your flashlight!
Have your students hold a flashlight up to the back of the card while looking at the front to see the rolls each turkey’s stomach.
They’ll be able to see just how hungry each of the turkeys were and count the dinner rolls from 0 to 10.
