Turkey Count and Clip Cards
The fall colors this year have just been stunning, and with Thanksgiving just around the corner, all I can think about is scarecrows, pumpkins, and turkeys! These cute turkey themed count and clip cards fit right into our fall themed unit and make for a great and engaging math center!
Like all of our count and clip cards, these are super easy to make.
Within the download, you will find 11 different turkey themed cards. Each card has a ten frame with a number of pumpkin pies on it, ranging from 0-10.
Simply print the cards out and send them through the laminator for lasting durability. Cut out the cards and pair with some clothespins, some binder clips, or even some paperclips and you are good to go!
Moving Beyond Counting
Count and clip cards like these are perfect for introducing and strengthening one-to-one correspondence. But don’t hesitate to go beyond! Do you have a learner who has one-to-one correspondence down pat? Turn these cards into an addition game!
Once your preschooler has identified the number within the tens frame, ask them how many more pieces of pie are needed to complete the tens frame. This makes for a perfect introduction to simple addition and it will have your preschooler asking for the clip and count cards again and again!
