These printable back to school count and match puzzles are the perfect way to review simple number concepts before moving on to bigger, more complex concepts this school year.
Back to School Count and Match Puzzles
Whether your kindergartner is reviewing counting and one-to-one correspondence or your toddler or preschooler is learning and practicing these skills for the first time, these puzzles are the perfect way to do it.
The count and match puzzles included in this printable are not self-correcting so your child won’t be able to simply solve the puzzles based on finding the pieces that correctly fit together. Instead, they’ll need to work on counting each of the back to school pictures that are included in each puzzle to determine how many items there are.
Within this set, you’ll find puzzles for working on numbers 1-10 and all of them have some adorable school supply items included for your little one to count.
Personally, after printing them off and cutting them out, we laminate ours for durability and then put them into a small pencil case. This gives us an easy, on the go busy bag that we can take with us wherever we go and doesn’t require any special materials to go with it.
When the preschooler is done matching up all of the puzzles, they simply go back into the back until we decide to use them again.
If your child seems to really like puzzles and/or counting, you can easily pair these with our printable color puzzles or a sheet of pumpkin-themed ten frames if you’re looking to add a little bit of fall to your learning.
