Teaching your toddler or preschooler their colors may seem like a bit of a daunting task, especially if your little one is anything like my youngest.
She is so eager to learn and wants to be involved in every thing her big brother does, but when it comes to colors, she is absolutely certain that everything she sees is either yellow or pink.
Not too difficult to guess which ones are her favorites huh?
Hopefully, now that we’ve got some fun, printable color puzzles to work with, she’ll eventually start to realize just how many awesome colors their are out there.
Each one of these simple puzzles is made up of four pieces; the color word itself, along with three matching items of the same color.
Many of the things that you’ll find in the pictures are items that you probably already have at home or can easily find as well.
For instance, when putting together our brown puzzle, one of the objects is a teddy bear. As soon as we were done putting the puzzle together, we went in search of our own teddy bear to check to see if he was brown just like the one included in our puzzle.
Obviously, we weren’t able to pull out an object to match every single picture, but the toddler had a blast going on a bit of a scavenger hunt for the items that we did have on hand and matching them up to the correct color puzzle.
Of course, with ten different color puzzles included in the download, there are sure to be quite a few items that you do have hiding around your house.
