If learning about the five senses is something that has founds its way into your home preschool planning this week, you’re going to want take a minute and check out today’s free printable!
If your kids are anything like mine at all, especially my youngest, they love to color. And I do mean love. So why not work in a little learning while they do it?! These five senses coloring pages are a great quick and easy activity with no prep, no cleanup, and would make a fantastic way to reference the five different senses throughout the entire week should you decide to put together a five senses theme unit for your preschooler.
From touch to taste, all five senses are included and each print off on their own page making it easy for you and your preschooler to go through them all at once, or save a few and introduce one a day throughout the course of an entire week.
Like all of our coloring page printables, we love to grab a box of crayons and use them as is but, if you’re feeling adventurous, there are so many other ways to use them as well!
Use a few colored pencils to write in some numbers and turn them into color by number pages. Break out the paint brush and watercolors and let your little ones paint them instead, or while the sun is up, tape the pages to your windows and have the kids color them while they’re hanging up. It seems like such a silly thing to do while you’re doing it, but having them color on a vertical surface is one of the easiest ways to work in some wrist strengthening exercises to you day.
The kids are going to love the change of pace so much that they won’t even realize they’re working to strengthen their fine motor skills 🙂
