Lately, we’ve been enjoying going through a few of our favorite fairy tale books more and more.
The stories and pictures are more than enough to keep any preschooler enthralled and Jack and the Beanstalk is certainly no exception.
In fact, we’ve now read this particular story a few dozen times and the little man just seems to love it more and more each time. Since it’s quickly becoming a favorite in our house, we decided to expand on the story a little and create a couple of activities to go along with it. The first of which? A Jack and the Beanstalk printable coloring pack!
If your preschooler enjoys coloring pages, they’re going to love this printable pack!
Within this download you’ll find:
– A few traditional coloring pages. We like to keep a few of these handy for those times when the kids feel like getting out the crayons and markers but we don’t have enough time to pull together a larger (or messier) activity.
– Connect and Color pages. Connect the dots and color your creation! Little man loves pages like this and they help him practice number order so it’s a win-win in my book :)
– Color, Cut, and Sequence. This page was a lot of fun. After you have read the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, color the items on the page, cut along the dotted lines, and then use the pieces you have cut out to order the items in the correct sequence.
Not only will your child get to be a little creative with their colors but they’ll work on scissor skills and story sequencing/reading comprehension at the same time!
Whether you use a single page in the download or try them all, I hope your little ones enjoy this pack as much as mine has!
