The theme of dinosaurs always seems to be relevant with preschoolers and it is one that we never grow tired of in our home. Which is why I figured it was high time I create some Flashlight Cards, but with a dinosaur twist!
What are Dinosaur Flashlight Cards?
With 6 different dinosaur types, these two sided cards show a prehistoric landscape with the dinosaur on front, and a skeleton of the dinosaur on the back side of the card.
They are quick to make and so fun to use.
All your little archaeologist will need is a flashlight, or a bright window, in order to fully discover the secrets of the dinosaur skeleton. Simply hold the cards up to the light and watch how the skeleton structure is illuminated within the dinosaur’s body!
Assembling the Dinosaur Flashlight Cards
Like all of our flashlight cards, these Dinosaur Flashlight Cards are just so easy to make!
Just print them off, cut them out, and run them through your laminator.
Printing Tip: These cards must be printed on both the front and the back to work. Choose to print on both sides of the paper and flip on the long edge.
The Perks of Dinosaur Flashlight Cards
These flashlight dinosaur cards are great for all kinds of learning!
You can throw them in with a dinosaur themed unit and use them for science. Having your learners discover the use of the card and explore the different skeleton shapes encourages your preschooler’s critical thinking skills and creativity.
You can also use the cards for comparison; discuss the different colors of each dinosaur or compare big bones to little bones. Encourage questions such as “does each dinosaur have teeth and eyes?”, “do all the dinosaurs have tails?”, and “how many of the dinosaurs fly?”
These fun flashlight cards make for an awesome explorative science time as you discover the secrets of the prehistoric world!
