I’m not going to lie; colors are one of our favorite things to learn about. No matter what activity we are doing we are always noticing and pointing out colors.
And why not? Colors are so much fun to learn about. There is so much color in our everyday lives, that it is so hard not to notice colors.
Christmas time is no different. We love pointing out all the Christmas lights and the different colors that we see as we are driving around.
Christmas Color Matching Memory Game
I’m so excited that Christmas is just right around the corner. I’m sure all your kids are getting excited as well. So, to add to our Christmas collection we are adding a Christmas color matching memory game. With this game, we are matching the colored ornament to the Christmas tree of the same color.
As I have said before, learning colors is aided by relating them to what our kids are seeing in everyday life. This memory game not only works on memory skills but color recognition as well. The best part about it: They are having fun while learning!
Setting Up Christmas…. Games, That Is
We always try to keep things simple and this color matching game is no different. Print out the cards, cut them out, laminate, and play! These cards can be used as a matching activity to help young children work on colors or as a memory matching game.
We love playing memory and matching games as a family. It’s a great way to unplug and spend some quality time together. You can play this game at home or use it as a fun learning center to focus your students during this crazy holiday season.
Colors of Christmas
With this memory game, you will have your little learner will be working with 11 colors:
