The month of February is typically filled with hearts, flowers, chocolates, and of course, valentine activities!

But we are switching things up just a little bit.
This fine motor activity is such a fun way to provide your kids with some extra cutting practice!
So, whether you’re putting together a Valentine theme for your class or you’re simply looking for a few Valentine themed activities for the month, this cutting practice activity is the perfect place to start!
Valentine Cutting Practice
Within this download, you’ll find two full pages of hearts.
Each heart features a different cutting line. From zig zag lines to wavy lines, your young learners will have plenty of opportunities to work on their scissor skills as well as their hand-eye coordination with this fun fine motor activity.
And prepping them for your students is quick and easy!
Just print them off, cut them out, and set them out with some scissors.
Your toddlers, preschoolers, and even kindergarten students can work on these during center time, as a quiet time activity, or you could use them to create some busy boxes, tot trays, or even February morning tubs for your class!
Other Ways to Use this Valentine Cutting Practice Activity
While this Valentine cutting practice activity is a super fun way to work on those scissor skills, you can easily extend the learning!
Mix the pieces up after your students have cut them and use them as a matching activity or turn them into puzzles and have your students glue them back together on a separate sheet of paper.
