Summer is officially here and we’re celebrating with these Summer themed watermelon count and clip cards.
Watermelon Count and Clip Cards
An activity centered around the official fruit of Summer seemed like the perfect way to usher in the season while working on some early math skills at the same time and we weren’t disappointed.
These watermelon counting cards gave us the perfect opportunity to use a few of the fun colored clothespins that we found recently and as always, they provide a great workout for little fingers. On top of that, you’ll work on counting, number recognition, and hand-eye coordination. All with a single activity!
This set includes cards for numbers 0-10 so they’re perfect for toddlers and preschoolers that are just learning to count.
Simply cut the cards out, laminate them for durability, set them out with some fun clothespins, and you’re good to go.
You could also use large paper clips or even binder clips in place of the clothespins.
Regardless of the clip that you decide to use, these Summer clip cards are also fantastic for taking with you on the go! Just grab a zippered pencil pouch or a plastic bag and throw the cards and a few clips inside and head out. They’re great for keeping little ones occupied while you’re grocery shopping or waiting at the doctor’s office.
