This week we slithered and sailed our way through the letter S in Tot School.
As always, we started our days reading.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Stone Soup were a few of our favorites.
We talked about a few different things that all begin with the letter S and hung up our letter S poster for the week. You can download and print your own copy of our letter of the week posters here.
As a way to remember what letters we’ve covered already (and just because their adorable), we started a letter wall in our Tot School room and added this week’s letter S snake.
Nicholas was so proud of his snake and couldn’t wait to show daddy when he got home from work.
Next, we talked about starts and used cookie cutters to cut start shapes from Play-Doh and practiced our colors by matching some colorful stars in another mommy-made file folder activity.
And used our fine motor skills to lace up a few letter S shapes.
Finally, we reviewed our numbers from last week by counting and matching up some sailboat counting cards.
All in all, I would say that our first week of letters went really well and was definitely a lot of fun!
