Fantastic Summer Reads for 7-9 Year Olds

While we all may know that keeping kids reading through the Summer months is a great way to beat the Summer slide and minimize screen time, it’s not always the easiest thing to do.

Especially as they start to get a little bit older. By the time they hit elementary school, they’ve, for the most part, lost interest in many of the short, simple stories they read or listened to when they were younger but, at the same time, may not yet know what they’re interested in as far as chapter books go.

The key is to find something that makes your child love reading, a book they just can’t put down.

So, where do you start?

Well, fortunately, there are hundreds of book lists available online to give you a few ideas and with this list made specifically for 7-9 year olds, you’re bound to find something that’ll spark your child’s interest. You might even find a whole new series of books that will keep your child reading all Summer long!
