Writing stories is such a great way to enhance your child’s imagination, not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to practice those handwriting skills!
But how do you get them started when they either don’t know what to write about or have not interest in writing?
Make it fun!
Writing prompts are so easy to put together and they give your child a place to start. They give them an idea. Now, where they take that idea? That’s entirely up to them!
With some winter weather moving into our neck of the woods this weekend, I put together a quick and easy winter writing prompt that will hopefully get those imaginations running on overdrive!
After all, who wouldn’t want to be a snowman for a day?!
First time using a writing prompt? No problem! Getting your child started is super easy!
All you have to do is ask your child one simple question. If you were a snowman for a day, what would you do?
From there, it’s up to them. Just let those little imaginations go and see where they take you.
You might just be surprised at what they come up with. :)
