I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if there is one thing that my kids love, it’s puzzles.
All types of puzzles really but Mega Blok puzzles definitely seem to be their favorite. Every single time I create a new set of these block puzzles, they’re both entertained for hours.
Now, we’ve made a few sets before, like our spring themed ones early last year and the set for our beach theme, but none quite like this.
These were made specifically with my oldest in mind as we start introducing a few CVC words.
To start us off, I broke them down into sections and, right now, we’re starting with the middle A (or Short A) words.
In this printable set, you’ll find 24 words (or puzzles) using the short A sound. Use as many or as few as you like!
Multiple ways to use these CVC word puzzles!
Obviously, the first way to use these is exactly as intended :) Just cut the puzzles out and use a glue stick to attach them to plastic Mega Bloks. We have done this over and over again with our blocks and puzzle sets and as long as you don’t go crazy with the glue stick, the puzzles should peel right off when you’re done so that you can change them out for new ones.

Once you have all of your pieces attached, have your child start putting them together. If you’re just getting started, try printing out 2 copies of the puzzles and leave one intact for your child to look at as they build theirs.
Not feeling the whole Mega Blok thing? You can also use these as simple puzzles without having to glue them on to anything. Just print, cut and have your child put them together again. Even better, have them glue the pieces in the correct order into a notebook!
However you use them, I hope your little ones enjoy them just as much as mine have!
