Now that we’re all caught up, we’re officially on day 10 of our 30 days of fall printables series and today’s printable is a super sweet one!
While it has taken a bit in our neck of the woods, the leaves on the trees have finally started to change colors and it is officially beginning to look like fall outside.
Now, with this printable fall candy counting roll and cover activity, you can enjoy the season change whether fall is hitting your area yet or not!
Getting Ready
Preparing this activity couldn’t be simpler!
To start, you’ll need a bag of M&Ms. As an alternative to candy, if you’d prefer not to use it, is using a few different colors of paint along with some Q-Tips. Not quite as sweet but still a great fine motor workout!
If using M&Ms, quickly sort through the candy and pull out the fall colors (brown, yellow, orange, and red) and put them in a bowl.
Print out the fall tree template along with the two dice templates. There is one with numbers and one with the above mentioned colors included in the printable set.
Finally, before you get started, cut out and put the dice together using either tape or glue.
Using the Fall Themed Roll and Cover
Once your dice are put together, have your child start by rolling the dice. Have them take the number and the color that they rolled and find the corresponding number of colored M&Ms and place them into the circles on the tree.
Continue until all of the circles on your tree are covered and you have a full fall tree.
