An obsession with dinosaurs is almost like a rite of passage for young children. Almost all of them seem to go through the phase of being dinosaur fanatics at one point or another and after having worked with children of all ages for several years, I’ve noticed that it is most often the preschoolers through 1st graders that tend to have such an intense love for these prehistoric animals.
With my oldest now in the midst of that age group, we’ve started to learn a little bit more about these majestic creatures and this printable dinosaur coloring book was the perfect way to start!
Dinosaur Coloring Book
From dinosaurs that could swim as fast as a dolphin to those who were covered in spines and scales, this printable coloring book includes 12 different prehistoric creatures with their names so your kiddos can practice their handwriting skills while coloring some really cool dinos.
If that’s not enough, each page of this printable book contains fun facts for you and your little ones to read.
You can work on learning the names of the dinosaurs, handwriting skills, and reading (if your child is old enough)
Just print the pages out, cut them in half along the line, stack them together with your cover page in front, and staple along the left side of the book (to the left of the dotted line). We’ve found with these little half-page books that stapling 3 times down the side seems to work best as it keeps the pages from bending the wrong direction or getting stuck.
So grab some crayons or colored pencils and start coloring with your dinosaur obsessed kiddo!
