When you think of the farm, you initially think of the green plants, the white fences, and the big red barn. At least, that’s what I think of.
But the truth is that farms are much more colorful than that.
In fact, if you’re currently teaching your preschooler about life on the farm, you have the perfect opportunity to practice the colors of the rainbow at the same time right in front of you and this printable colors on the farm book can help you do just that!
From the big red barn and the green tractor to the pink pig and the brown chicken, we use this book in our own preschool to explore all of the colors that can be found on the farm.
Colors on the Farm
This printable book contains 12 pages, including the cover, and prints in black and white, which means that not only is it printer-friendly but it also makes a fantastic coloring book.
Just print the pages out, cut them each in half (each page of the book is a half sheet), and staple them together along the left side.
Once it’s put together, read through it with your child and then let them enjoy coloring through the various pictures.
If they’ve already started working on some sight words, they may be able to read it with you as it is essentially an easy reader that includes color words.
If they haven’t yet started working on them, this is the perfect opportunity to introduce them.
They could even try to guess the colors words based on the farm-related picture that is on the page.
By the time you’re all done coloring your book, you’ll have explored an entire rainbow of colors that can be found on the farm.
