The spookiest holiday of the year is just around the corner and we’re taking advantage of the festivities this week by adding several last-minute Halloween-themed activities into our learning.
Take these Halloween letter tracing cards for example.
They’re such a fun and easy way to work a little alphabet and letter formation practice into your holiday celebrations and your little learners are going to love seeing the different Halloween-themed creatures!
A mummy, a witch, a vampire, and Frankenstein all come together in this simple activity to make working on the letters of the alphabet just as spooky as the rest of your holiday celebrations!
Letter Tracing for Halloween
This printable Halloween letter tracing set includes 52 different Halloween monster cards with a mummy, a witch, a vampire, and Frankenstein all making an appearance.
Each card has a single letter of the alphabet written on it in a dotted font that makes it perfect for tracing!
You’ll also find that the set includes both the upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet, so you’ll have plenty to practice.
And the prep work is pretty minimal!
Just print the cards, cut them out, and run them through your laminator.
Once they’re laminated, your little learners will be able to use them with a dry erase marker over and over again.
Use them as a simple literacy center for the week of Halloween or use them to create a game that gets your little learners up and moving while working on the alphabet!
To do this, stack the uppercase alphabet cards on a table (not in alphabetical order) and place the lowercase letter cards in various different places around the room.
Have your child choose an uppercase card from the stack and name the letter before tracing it. When they’re done, have them search the room for the matching lowercase card to match up the upper and lowercase monster buddies!
