It’s not uncommon for children that are beginning readers and writers to reverse certain letters.
Those like b/d and p/q look so similar that it’s easy to get them mixed up.
Of course, these aren’t the only letters that are easily reversed or even rotated, but they are the most common and while there are tons of ideas out there to help you practice recognizing these letters with your child, it’s nice to mix things up every once in a while and these Halloween tricky letter printables are a fun and spooky way to do just that!
Halloween Tricky Letters
The nine pages in this set include activities to help your child practice differentiating between common tricky letters and they all have a bit of a spooky twist.
From bats that help with letters like p, d, a, and o to spiders that provide an assist with u, n, m, and w, there’s a Halloween-themed printable to practice all of those tricky letters!
You’ll find that there are three sets of three pages within this download.
The first set includes all three pages in full color. No prep at all! Just print them off and they’re ready to go!
The second set is in black and white. This option not only saves on ink but also gives your little learners the opportunity to color their work when they’re done.
The final set of pages is also in black and white. This set, however, is also blank, meaning that you can write in your own set of tricky letters and focus on the ones that your child struggles with the most.
It doesn’t really matter which version you choose as they’re all sure to add a little more Halloween spirit to your letter learning!
