Goodnight Moon has long been one of our favorite bedtime stories.
It’s a classic story that I remember reading when I was younger and now, I’m sharing it with my own children.
In fact, we’ve read it so many times that we’re already on our second copy of the book. But recently, it has become much more than just a bedtime book.
For the past couple of weeks now, it has repeatedly found its way to our story time pile at all times of the day and is quickly becoming a book that my kids love to read no matter what time it is.
Since they have been enjoying it so much, I decided to see how else we could incorporate it into our everyday learning and since little man loves matching games, that seemed like the perfect place to start.
In this printable, you’ll find 14 different matching sets including all of the items from the book from the comb and the brush to the bowl full of mush :)
If your children are old enough, go ahead and use all of the pieces for a fun memory game or pick out a few select pairs to match for your younger ones.
Once you’ve gotten yours printed and the pieces cut, grab a copy of Goodnight Moon and enjoy the story while everyone plays.
Want to take the learning even further? Have your child find and sequence the pictures as you read the story!
Either way, enjoy a fun printable and an even better book!
