Whether you’re planning a fishing trip with your kids or are simply looking to add a little fine motor fun to your Summer learning, this going fishing play dough invitation is the perfect way to welcome in the warmer months.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my kids love play dough.
They could play with it for hours on end and come up with tons of different things to make with it, and believe me, we’ve done just that more times than I can count.
Lately, though, we’ve really been having a lot of fun with themed play dough trays like this fishing play dough set.
Even with all of the things they’ve made out of play dough in the past, they still find new ways to play when we put another one of these together.
Going Fishing Play Dough Invitation
Putting this activity together will take you all of five minutes and yet, your little ones will have hours of fun.
Supplies Needed:
- Blue play dough
- Toy fishing rod
- Plastic fish (and other aquatic creatures) to catch
- Glass gems or rocks
Add it all to a tray and go fishing!
This is such a fantastic way to work on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination!
You could even throw in a little color practice and your preschooler is going to be having so much fun playing that they won’t even realize they’re learning.
