Not only is it one of the largest states in the country, but the Lone Star state is also the next stop on our Explore: USA road trip!
With just a few states left to go, we’re coming up on the end of this particular trip, but that doesn’t mean that we’ll be slowing down at all!
No, we’ve still got plenty to learn between here and Wyoming, but for today, we’re just going to focus on Texas!
Texas State Study
They say that everything is bigger in Texas and we’ll definitely see a little bit of that in this Texas state study!
Bracken Cave, in San Antonio, Texas, for instance, is home to the largest concentration of mammals in the world.
Impressive for sure, but there’s so much more to the Lone Star state that several million bats!
The state’s history includes the fact that a total of six different nations have governed its soil and that the state’s most iconic theme park paid homage to that fact with their name.
It’s also the home of the very first woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
Throughout this state study, we’ll learn about one of the largest ranches in the nation, a true pioneer in the field of aviation, and we’ll even take a virtual tour of the Alamo!
