Clip cards are such a fun way to really engage your preschooler or kindergartner is learning new skills.
They can be made to work on a number of skills and the possibilities, as far as themes go, are endless.
These egg counting clip cards, for example, allow your child to work not only on counting but also number recognition and fine motor skills at the same time and they are absolutely perfect for the upcoming Spring season!
I don’t know about you, but when I think of Spring, my mind immediately goes to all of the new baby animals that will be making their arrival throughout the season.
It’s a time for fresh, new beginnings and I feel like these clip cards are the perfect representation of that!
Egg Counting Clip Cards
Like our other sets, these simple clip cards are a ton of fun and super easy to prep!
Within the download, you’ll find 11 different cards, one for each number from 0 to 10.
Just print the cards out, cut them out, and run them through your laminator for added durability.
That last step is not required, of course, but extremely helpful if you have a lot of little hands that will be using these cards or you’d like to reuse them again in the future. Without lamination, they just don’t stand up to the use of clothespins very well.
Once they’re laminated and ready to use, set them out with a set of clothespins and have your child count the eggs that are in each nest before clipping the correct number on the bottom of the card.
If you’ve used a few of our clip cards sets in the past and are getting bored with the clothespins or would like to add a little bit more of a fine motor workout to the activity, simply swap them out for colored paperclips or even smaller binder clips.
