For a lot of children, dinosaurs are an obsession from the time they are very young.
They love seeing them in pictures, spend hours playing with plastic dinosaur toys, and can easily rattle off a ton of facts about each one without blinking.
Of course, we know that this passion is incredibly beneficial for the development of young children and finding ways to incorporate dinosaurs, or whatever subject they’re passionate about, into their daily learning is a fantastic way to encourage them.
There are many ways to do this, obviously, but for today, we’re sharing one of our current favorites: dinosaur letter matching!
Alphabet Matching with Dinosaurs
This adorable alphabet matching set is perfect for preschoolers and kindergartners that have learned the uppercase letters of the alphabet and are starting to learn and associate the lowercase letters with their uppercase counterparts.
All of the uppercase letters can be found on various colorful dinosaurs that your little learners are going to love.
The lowercase letters, however, can all be found on brightly colored dinosaur eggs.
To use the dinosaur letter matching set, you’ll simply need to print the pieces out, cut them out, laminate them for durability, and set them out for your little ones to match.
If your children are just starting to learn the letters of the alphabet, try printing out two copies of the dinosaur pieces instead of all of them and have them practice matching the uppercase letters together.
You could obviously do the same with the lowercase letter eggs as well.
If you’re feeling up to it, you could also take these pieces and use them to create a letter matching file folder game. It would pair perfectly with our dinosaur color matching file folder game, especially if you’re planning a dinosaur theme for your little ones any time soon.
