It may still be mid-January right now, but if you can’t tell, I can not wait for Spring! I can’t wait for the weather to warm up, the sunshine to come out, and the vibrantly colored flowers to start popping up everywhere!
Now, of course, we’ve still got a little while to go, but while we’re waiting, this flower petal counting file folder game can stand in for the real thing.
This file folder game makes teaching your toddler or preschooler to count to 10 so much fun and is absolutely perfect for Spring!
Counting Flower Petals
As always, the first thing you’ll find in this printable set is the cover for your file folder game.
Attach it to the front of your folder with some clear contact paper so that it’s easy to find when it’s stored with the rest of your games.
Putting this game together is super simple!
Within the download, you’ll find 10 flowers, each with a different number of petals (1-10) and 10 circles with numbers on them that your child will match to the correct flower.
The first thing you’ll need to do is cut out each of the pieces.
Attach the flowers to the inside of your folder with some more contact paper and laminate the numbered circles.
To make the matching easier for small hands, add some Velcro dots to the inside of the circle on each flower and the opposite side of the Velcro onto the back of each numbered circle.
When everything is put together and ready to go, give your child the numbered circles and have them count the petals on each flower to determine which circle belongs on which flower.
