For most children, learning to count is a huge milestone.
It’s one of their very steps into the world of math and they’ll often first learn this skill by counting on their fingers and many of them will continue to use their fingers up until they’re learning to add and subtract and now, with these printable counting finger number tracing cards, they can continue to use them as they learn to write their numbers as well.
These little counting finger number tracing cards are so much fun and with a quick run through your laminator, you can reuse them over and over again with a dry erase marker.
Count and Trace
These fun printable count and trace cards are a fantastic way to teach your preschooler to associate a number of objects, in this case, fingers, with a written number.
Once they’ve made that connection, counting in general becomes a whole lot easier.
In this set, you’ll find six different counting hands, one for each number from 0 to 5.
Prepping the Count and Trace Activity
One each hand, your child will be able to count the fingers before tracing the numeral, and prepping them for your little learners is quick and easy!
Just print them off, cut them out, and then run them through your laminator.
This will give them a little bit of added durability while also allowing you to use them over and over again with a dry erase marker.
Want to extend the learning?
Grab a set of manipulatives and count them out into groups.
Have your child count each group and match the correct hand after tracing the numeral.
