If you were to ask Nicholas what his all-time favorite snack was, he’d tell you, without hesitation, popcorn.
I really think the kid could eat his weight in the stuff.
And really, is there anything better than a big bowl of popcorn and a fun family movie?
Well actually, yes there is! And it comes in the form of pillow forts and some delicious cookies and cream popcorn!
This recipe is super simple and comes together in less than 10 minutes! The most time consuming part is popping the popcorn :)
The best part is, you’ll only need 3 ingredients!
You’ll need:
- Pop Secret popcorn (we used the regular butter flavor and this worked out really well)
- White chocolate chips
- Oreo cookies
First things first, get your ingredients ready.
Pop a single bag of Pop Secret microwave popcorn.
Take 12-14 Oreo cookies (depending on how many cookies you’d like in your cookies and cream) and either crush them up in your food processor or just stick them in a bag and let out a little of your frustration :) Just crush them up into pieces.
Pour a 12 ounce bag of white chocolate chips into a bowl and microwave them until they are completely melted and smooth.
Now, are you ready for the hard part? Alright, here we go!
Pour your melted chocolate and Oreo cookies into the bowl with your popcorn and stir it all up :)
Let your chocolate set up just a bit and you’re all set.
Because regular old popcorn just isn’t enough for family night anymore!
And since you’re stepping up your family night snacks, you might as well step up the entertainment as well.

I, like most people, remember making pillow forts of my own as a kid, but for some reason, this isn’t a tradition that I have shared with my own children. Until now that is.
With yesterday being a cold, rainy day, we had the perfect opportunity to create a pillow masterpiece in our living room, and did we ever!
Add in a little imagination and your pillow fort can turn itself into anything you want. In our case, we grabbed a couple of flashlights and Nicholas spent a good portion of the evening exploring the “cave” that we had built :)
Of course, you can’t explore a cave without taking along some provisions!
But if you’re not careful, you may forget all about the cave in favor of the delicious new treat :)
