Get your preschoolers excited about learning the letters of the alphabet this spring with these beehive letter matching cards!
With the arrival of spring comes all of the bugs, animals, and insects that have been tucked away all winter long.
And one of our favorites of those is, of course, the bumblebee!
There’s just something about seeing the bees that lets you know that spring has well and truly arrived.
And when you’re coming out of several months of gloomy, cold, and wet, that’s a beautiful sight to see!
Beehive Letter Matching Cards
Whether you’re just starting to introduce your toddlers and preschoolers to the letters of the alphabet or you’re looking for ways to review this spring, this beehive letter matching activity is a great way to do it this spring!
Covering all 26 letters of the alphabet, this printable spring-themed activity will have your students matching the uppercase letters to their lowercase counterparts.
And prepping these cards is quick and easy!
Just print them off, cut them out, and run them through your laminator for durability.
That’s all it takes and they’re ready for your students.
Using the Beehive Letter Matching Cards
There are so many ways to use an activity like this when you’re practicing the letters of the alphabet.
Start off using them as a simple matching activity.
They can be used in your literacy center or as a quiet time activity for early finishers.
Once your students have tried that, flip the cards over and lay them out on a table to play a memory game and have your students practice taking turns while they work on the letters of the alphabet.
Need to get your students up and moving a little bit?
Divide the upper and lowercase letter cards and spread them out around your classroom.
Have your students draw a card from the half that you have left and have them look around the room to find the matching letter.
However you decide to use them, whether you’re looking for a few simple spring-themed activities or you’re putting together a full bee preschool theme and pairing this with a fun bee themed craft or fine motor activity, your students are sure to love them!
