Although it’s the time of day when you would think that everyone should be winding down, bedtime with kids can actually be quite stressful (as I’m sure many of you with kids of your own can attest to!).
One of the best things you can do to combat the craziness at bedtime is setting and staying consistent with a routine. A routine that is calming, relaxing and lets them know that bedtime is quickly approaching.
For some kids though, just having the routine isn’t enough. They need something within that routine that helps them relax, something that takes their minds off of wanting to stay up all night and play :)
For us, we’ve found that having a set of books that are meant only for bedtime really helps. Stories that are all about sleeping, dreaming, and resting the night away.
Finding the perfect bedtime story (or stories) can take some searching, but I’ve put together a few of our favorite bedtime stories for kids so that hopefully, you and your child will find one you like as well!
Maybe, just maybe, one or two of these stories will help to ease the night time craziness around your house as well :)
