Learning the alphabet is a critical stepping stone for preschoolers.
They can’t learn to read if they don’t know what sounds the letters make and they can’t know what sounds they make if they don’t know the letters themselves.
As we work through our alphabet preschool themes, we have added a few items that have made learning the letters of the alphabet a whole lot more fun.
Nicholas loves our Q-Tip Alphabet printables but these fun alphabet puzzles have been an even bigger hit!
Each week as we work on another letter, we pull out the corresponding puzzle and work on putting it together.
Since both the letter and the picture are broken into puzzle pieces, it has given us the chance to not only practice the letters, but associate them with corresponding items that begin with that letter as well.
This 52 page printable pack of alphabet puzzles includes all 26 letters of the alphabet and fun, colorful images to go along with each letter.
Don’t want to use them all at once? No problem!
Just print off the letters you need or print them as you go through the alphabet!
Each letter includes 2 pages. The first is what you see in the photo above, the letter and the corresponding image. The second page has the letter and the image broken into puzzle pieces that you can cut out and have your child put together.
Right now, we put our puzzles together directly on the first page, but if your child is a little older, you could try having them put the puzzles together without using the image on the first page as a background.
However it works for you :)
