Q-Tip painting has long been a favorite of ours.
It’s an excellent activity that can not only help you work on strengthening those small motor muscles that are vital to learning to write, but it can also help with hand-eye coordination and numerous other skills.
Previously, we’ve used this activity to work on the uppercase letters of the alphabet and numbers 0-9, but today we’re adding the lowercase letters of the alphabet to that list with these lowercase alphabet Q-Tip painting cards!
With this particular set, your child will have the opportunity to work on their fine motor skills, colors, hand-eye coordination, and all 26 lowercase letters of the alphabet making it absolutely perfect for your literacy center if you’re looking to use it in your classroom.

The absolute best part about these cards is that just like the uppercase version, they require almost no prep on your part at all!
Just print the pages out and cut them in half.
Each half-page card contains a single letter of the lowercase alphabet, giving your child plenty of room to work.
Just set them out with either some small jars of paint or even a colored ink pad or two and some Q-Tips and they’re ready to go!
You can have your child work through the letters one at a time or even start out with the letters that are in their name. Either way, they’ll strengthen those small motor muscles with every single dot that they paint.
Prefer to reuse them?
Run the cards through your laminator for durability and then pair them with some colored glass gems or even a few mini erasers and have your child build the letter using those pieces.
Once they’re laminated you could even use a dry erase marker and have them either dot or color in the dots to make the letter with that.
