When we first started making these alphabet book crafts, I had no idea just how much fun the entire thing would turn out to be.
My 4 year old has always loved art and making crafts but this has really become something that we both look forward to as we watch the number of pages in our book grow.
For the uppercase letter H, we decided to try out something simple and fun.
This particular craft is a bit different from our previous ones as instead of building a craft on top of the letter, we decided to just make the letter using the pieces that we cut out.
To make this uppercase letter H craft, you’ll need:
- A sheet of white card stock
- Pink, purple, and red construction paper (or whatever color you would like for your hearts to be)
- Scissors
- Glue
To cut your heart pieces, simply fold your pieces of construction paper in half and cut a few half heart shapes along the fold.
If your child is old enough, this is a great way to work on those scissor skills.
Once you’ve got your hearts cut out, just start gluing them onto your sheet of card stock.
You’ll want to create a chain of hearts going up each side of your card stock.
Finally, finish your letter H off by connecting the two vertical chains with a horizontal one right in the middle.
While you’re waiting for the glue to dry, grab the printable uppercase letter H page from the set of interactive alphabet pages and get it ready to be added to your book!
Once you’re done with that you’re good to go! Just add them both to your ever-growing collection of fun alphabet crafts!
