The next page in our preschool alphabet book is a super simple one that takes no time at all to make! Even better, it is a fantastic opportunity to let your preschooler practice their scissor skills!
Not only does this craft complement the uppercase letter E that we made last week, it would also fit perfectly into a space theme unit as well!
Along with the rest of our alphabet book crafts, you won’t need any crazy supplies to make this. Just a few simple supplies that you probably already have in your craft cabinet :)
To make this lowercase letter E, you’ll need:
- Blue and green construction paper
- A sheet of white card stock
- Glue
- Scissors
As always, start off by cutting your letter out. Using your blue construction paper, cut out a lowercase letter E. You can print off a template if that helps or just free hand it, whatever works for you!
This craft is perfect for working on scissor skills with your preschooler as there is no right or wrong way to cut things out. They don’t need to follow any lines or cut out a specific shape. Just hand them a pair of scissors, the green construction paper, and let them go.
Instruct them to cut out the land forms that will go on your ocean blue letter E and trim them up a bit if you need to to ensure that they fit onto the letter.
When all of the cutting has been completed, start gluing your pieces together. Glue the blue letter E onto the card stock first and then start attaching your green land forms wherever you’d like them to go. This step is where you may need to trim them a bit so that they fit and maintain the shape of the letter E.
Finally, complete your lowercase letter E page and hole punch them both to add to your book!
