With turkey day on the way, we’ve put together a list of some of our favorite Thanksgiving songs for preschoolers so that you and your little learners can enjoy them throughout the entire month of November!
Music is such an excellent learning tool and we try our best to find ways to include it in every single preschool theme that we do.
It is not only a fantastic way to get your students up and moving (and of course, getting some of those wiggles out), but it can also help them improve their motor skills, develop their language skills, build self-confidence, and more!
Thankfully, there are tons of songs, rhymes, and fingerplays out there for pretty much any theme that you can think of and a Thanksgiving theme is certainly no different.
So, take a minute to browse through a list of Thanksgiving songs for preschoolers and share them with your own kids while you await the arrival of Thanksgiving day!
We’ve included YouTube videos for each of them as well so you can easily put them up on a projector or just play the song on your computer for your students.

Turkey Dance Freeze by The Learning Station
The holiday season is always filled with lots of excitement.
From Halloween to New Year’s, there’s always something going on and it’s no surprise that kids have a harder time sitting still and focusing during this time of year.
Sometimes, you just need to get up and dance and with lots of repetition, the Turkey Dance Freeze is a fantastic way to do that, even with really young kids.
Ten Little Turkeys by The Learning Station
If you’re looking for a fun song that you can sing with your pre-k kiddos this Thanksgiving, Ten Little Turkeys is it!
Your students can work on their counting skills and if you’d like to make the learning a little more hands-on, you can grab a set or two of these turkey prop printables and have your students act out the song during circle time while they’re singing!
If You’re Thankful and You Know It by The Kiboomers
The month of November is the perfect time of year to start teaching young children about being thankful for the things that they have.
Things like spending time with family and making new friends are excellent examples that they’ll understand and If You’re Thankful and You Know It is such a fun way to jumpstart that discussion!
A Turkey is a Silly Bird by Miss Nina
If you’re looking for something short, sweet, and a little silly, A Turkey is a Silly Bird is the song for you!
This adorable song will have you and your students acting like you’ve got your own little turkey body while you practice what a turkey says.
