If there is one activity that is truly multifaceted, it’s count and clip cards.
From fine motor skills to number recognition and counting, you can work on so many different skills all at the same time with just a few simple cards!
So it was definitely a no brainer for us to create some 4th of July themed count and clip cards to help us with our summer learning!
Summer Skills Practice
The 4th of July is a huge holiday around here, but it’s one that’s often forgotten when it comes to educational resources since it falls in the summer.
But summer learning is also a pretty big thing around here because as far as I’m concerned, if you can find ways to make it fun, learning never has to stop!
We started out this year with a fun set of patriotic pattern strips, for example, and these 4th of July count and clip cards are another perfect summer learning activity!
They require very little prep, work on multiple skills at once, and can help you celebrate the most patriotic holiday of the year.
Independence Day Count and Clip Cards
Prepping these cards for your students to use couldn’t be any easier!
Just print them off, cut them out, run them through your laminator for durability, and pair them with some clothespins, colored paperclips, or even a few binder clips for a little more of a fine motor workout.
If you’d like, you could even find some red, white, and blue clothespins to make it even more patriotic!
When they’re all prepped, they’ll make a fantastic addition to your math center!
Your students will be able to count the stars that are on each of the flags and then pick their answer by clipping it with their clothespins.
And just like that they’ll be working on their counting skills, number recognition from 0 to 10, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, one-to-one correspondence, and more with one simple set of 4th of July count and clip cards!
