St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun holiday to craft for with your students! There are rainbows and shamrocks and so many bright and colorful decorations that you can make. What’s not to love?!
There are so many fun leprechaun crafts out there to choose from and not only are they perfect for bulletin boards or decorating your classroom, but most of them are going to really help your students build up their small motor muscle strength as well!
We, of course, had to share some of our favorites with you and the absolute best part of these crafts is that most of them are made with basic craft supplies that you probably already have on hand! No crazy materials or last minute shopping trips here!
Easy Leprechaun Crafts
From crafts made out of paper plates and yarn to those made out of recycled materials, we’ve found so many fun and EASY leprechaun crafts to make that your students are going to love and so many of them can be used to decorate your classroom for St. Patrick’s Day when they’re finished!
Paper Plate Leprechaun Beard
Who knew that you could make a fun leprechaun scissor skills craft out of some paper plates?!
While this is a fantastic fine motor craft for little ones, older kids will love making it as well.
And you can use this craft again and again! Just rethread some new yarn and his beard is ready for another trim!
Recycled Can Leprechaun Craft
Teachers are always saving random items for crafts and for this one, that’s going to come in handy!
Save up those tin vegetable cans and teach your students about recycling and upcycling by creating leprechauns and pots of gold out of them!

All you need for this craft is some construction or cardstock and some glue.
Young children are going to absolutely love watching their handprint turn into a cute little leprechaun and the best part is that it is such a simple craft, your students can put the whole thing together themselves!
Paper Bag Leprechauns
This is such a fun craft and children of all ages are going to love making them!
Work on those scissor skills by having your students cut out all of the materials themselves (you can always pre-cut the pieces of construction paper if needed) and make their leprechaun as unique as they are.
With just a few paper bags, your child’s creativity can flow in the creation process and even more when they get to play with the leprechaun paper bag puppet. They’ll also have the opportunity to really build those fine motor skills with this one! Between cutting, gluing, and drawing, they’re in for an excellent fine motor workout!
