Seeing all of these things together can mean only one thing. Easter is on its way!
And what better way to celebrate this fun Spring holiday than with a colorful new addition to your math center!
This Easter basket number sense activity is the perfect way to incorporate a few of those Easter items into your learning while working on those math skills at the same time!
Number Sense Easter Basket
If I had to choose one word to describe this math center, it would definitely be colorful.
The baskets themselves may be brown, but the eggs are anything but.
Green, yellow, pink, blue…
Everything you’d expect an Easter egg to be!
And in addition to being bright and colorful, they’re perfect for your math center!
Within this download you’ll find ten Easter baskets covering number words one through ten.
You’ll also find 50 colorful Easter eggs.
These eggs include:
- dice
- numerals
- ten frames
- tally marks
- counting fingers
A full set is included for each number, one through ten.
Matching Easter Numbers
Prepping this Easter basket number sense activity is super simple!
Just cut the pieces out and run them through your laminator.
Once that’s done, it’s up to your students to match the eggs to the correct Easter basket based on the number they’ll find on each one.
Extend the Activity
Take this Easter basket number sense activity outside of your math center!
Turn this into a real Easter egg hunt by hiding the eggs around the classroom and having your students search for them before matching them to the baskets.
You could also break your class up into small groups and give each group a number to match!
