Our tot school this week may have taken on an Halloween theme, but we spent last week learning all about the color blue!
As always, we spent a good portion of our time reading some new books. Our “blue” stories consisted of:
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse
Little Blue Truck Leads the Way
We dyed some pasta blue…
(Seriously, no matter how hard I tried, I could not get the pasta to look as blue in the pictures as it did in person :( So, while it looks a little green, let’s just pretend it’s blue ‘kay?)
And we used it and our fine motor skills to thread it onto straws using blue Play-Doh as a base.
Stuck in Play-Doh, the straws are much easier for little fingers to handle!
After reading all about the Little Blue Truck, we used a little blue truck of our own to make wheel tracks with blue paint…
And then painted just for fun.
Finally, we headed into the kitchen during lil sis’ nap time and made some BLUEberry muffins.
Which we ate for snack while watching an episode of Blue’s Clues.
