Learning the letters of the alphabet doesn’t have to revolve around flashcards and tracing strips!
While those things can be both fun and beneficial for some children, for others, they’re just not enough.
Even if they do enjoy them, it never hurts to try something new every once in a while.
Mazes are a great alternative because they’re not only fun and engaging, but they also allow your child to work on multiple skills that flashcards alone would not.
These alphabet mazes, for example, will allow your child to work on practicing the uppercase letters of the alphabet while working on the pencil grasp and hand-eye coordination skills they’ll need for handwriting in the future.
All 26 letters of the uppercase alphabet are included in this printable set and each one prints on its own page, meaning that your child has plenty of space to work their way through all of the letter mazes.
Printable Uppercase Letter Mazes
These mazes are easy enough for small children that don’t have a lot of experience with mazes while still posing a bit of a challenge for them.
Now, you could obviously just print them off and use them as activity pages, however, you can also do what we did if you plan to reuse them again and again with different children.
Once you have printed the mazes, simply run the pages through your laminator or stick them into some dry erase pockets and pair them with a few different colors of dry erase markers.
As you work your way through the letters of the alphabet, simply use either an eraser made specifically for dry erase markers or a simple paper towel to wipe them clean for later use.
If your preschooler is just starting to learn the letters of the alphabet, have them start out by simply completing the letter mazes that make up their name. They’ll love seeing that little connection even more than the mazes themselves!
