Learning to write the letters of the alphabet is important, but when they’re young, there are so many more fun ways to teach children letter formation while still practicing the fine motor skills that are necessary for pencil grasp and future writing.
These uppercase alphabet geoboard task cards are the perfect example of that!
You’ll work on building the uppercase letters of the alphabet while also working on colors, fine motor skills, counting, and more!
The best part?
This activity is way more fun than just tracing several lines of letters!
All 26 uppercase letters of the alphabet are included and each task card fills a half page, so there is plenty of room for your little learners to both see the bands used to create the letter and write their answer in on the bottom of the card.
What do you need to use them?
Nothing more than a plastic geoboard, some rubber bands, and the printable cards!
While they would make a fantastic literacy center, these alphabet geoboard task cards would also work really well in a busy bag or as an on the go travel activity!
Just throw some rubber bands into a small plastic container or a Ziploc bag and you’re ready to go.
As you work through the letters of the alphabet, you’ll notice that you’re also working through the colors of the rainbow, adding another level of learning for your preschooler.
Add that to the fact that you’re working on letter formation, fine motor skills, and counting, and you’ve got one seriously educational activity that your little ones are going to love!
