When my oldest was learning the letters of the alphabet, he spent a lot of time either looking back through our alphabet book or going through our flashcards for a quick reminder on what each of the letters looked like
With my second now working her way through mastering the letters and beginning to learn their sounds, I wanted to create something that would make it easier for her to reference and this printable alphabet chart turned out even better than I imagined!
Now, of course, we love our alphabet wall cards and reference them often, but when we’re either not next to them or just want something a little bit smaller and easier to carry with us, this alphabet chart is the perfect solution!
The entire alphabet fits onto a single page and we can easily glance and see what both the upper and lowercase letters look like as well as a picture that helps when we’re working on our letter sounds.
As I’ve said before, learning the letters of the alphabet can be a little bit stressful for some kids.
They’re so eager to learn and to most, reading seems like such a fun, big kid concept that they can’t wait to get in on.
Unfortunately, it’s not always as easy as just covering each of the letters and having them remember them from that point on.
Some children require a little more time and that’s okay. I personally encourage my own children to utilize materials like this alphabet chart as often as they’d like until they’re feeling more confident and comfortable with the letters.
And really, with a chart like this, the prep is minimal, so making one for your child to keep with them is super simple.
Just print it out, run it through your laminator, and you’re ready to go. As a single page, it’s easy to just grab and go so you can take it with you when you’re out and about as well!
It doesn’t get much easier than that!
