If there’s one thing I love, it’s printables that can be used for more than a single activity.
The best are those that are fun, minimal prep, and multipurpose and these printable alphabet cards fit each of those perfectly.
Of course, with our new book, Dot to Dot Activities for Learning, coming out in just a few short weeks, we’ve been working on a lot of alphabet activities lately and so far, this set has been my absolute favorite!
Not only are they educational, but they’re adorable and would make super cute classroom decor that can help you work on not only letter formation but the names of each of the letters and their various sounds as well.
If you teach a letter a week, these would be perfect for introducing each of the letters and for looking back on as you work your way through the rest of the alphabet.
Alphabet Wall Cards
These colorful cards are about the size of a half sheet of paper and make fantastic reference cards.
Just print them off, laminate them for durability, and hang them up on the wall of your home or classroom.
Each card contains the upper and lowercase version of the letter (all 26 letters of the alphabet are included), arrows to show how to form the letter when writing, and a picture of an animal or object that starts with the letter, making them perfect for preschoolers and kindergartners.
Alphabet Writing Practice
Now, to use them to practice letter formation, you’ll start out the same way.
Print them off, laminate them, and grab some dry erase markers.
If your child is just starting to learn how to write their letters, having a guide to follow can be incredibly helpful and with the arrows included in these cards, they won’t have to guess at where to start.
When they’re done with a letter, simply wipe off the marker and move onto the next.
