Ink pads are one of our favorite home preschool art supplies.
You don’t even need to worry about having any of those bulky rubber stamps to use them if you don’t want to, just pull them out and let your preschooler’s imagination take over.
You’d be amazed at what they can come up with all on their own, but just in case you need a little inspiration to get you started, these awesome ink pad craft and activity ideas should help you kick your creativity into gear.
Crafts and Activities for Preschoolers Using Ink Pads
If you do prefer to use rubber stamps with your littles, try using a set of stamps with pictures of food on them and have your children make their own grocery lists.
Or try making your own DIY stamps with just a few basic materials.
No stamps at all? No problem! You can create an entire ocean’s worth of animals with just your thumb.
Or use your little one’s feet to create a butterfly keepsake that you can hold onto forever.
Working on the letters of the alphabet? There’s no better time than fall to gather up some leaves and give this nature stamping idea a try!
If your kids already know their letters or are interested in telling stories of their own, let them create their own fingerprint comic books.
Reading some of your favorite children’s books? Try creating a few of the characters using your fingerprints like these ducks and bugs.
You could even combine a little fine motor work and counting practice to make your own caterpillar.
Your imagination really is the only limit when it comes to the number of things you can create with an ink pad!
