Fall has arrived and you know what that means! Football season!
This week’s Kids in the Kitchen theme of snacks really couldn’t have come at a better time.
The weather is turning cooler, the leaves will soon be changing color, and football season is upon us! I mean, what could be better than eating a bunch of delicious snacks while watching the game?
And nothing goes better with football than wings!
Of course, you’re going to need something to dip those wings in and we’ve got a recipe that you and the kids can whip up in the final few minutes before kick-off!
Now, the first thing you’re going to need is, obviously, the wings! Can’t enjoy the football (or the dip) without those :)
Knowing my guys and their ever changing taste buds, I wanted to make sure that we got something they both would like. So, we headed out to Walmart and found just what we were looking for!
It doesn’t get much better than that right?
Tyson Any’Tizers are our go to choice when it comes to wings from now on! Not only are they delicious, but you’ll find a flavor for just about everyone! And did I mention, they go perfectly with this dip!
It’s super easy to make, the kids can practice their measuring skills, and it will be ready in minutes!
To make it you’ll need:
8 oz. Sour Cream
1/3 cup Mayo
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
2 tsp. Dill
1 tsp. Dried Basil
1/2 tsp. Dried Parsley
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
This is literally going to be the easiest thing you could ever make! Ready for the steps? Ok, here you go…
Take all of your ingredients, have your child help you measure them into a bowl, stir.
That’s it! See? I told you it wouldn’t take long!
Now, not only do you have some delicious wings, but an amazing ranch dip to go with them and it took you no time at all!
The entire family is going to love them!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Get the kids in the kitchen and have them help you make the dip and then add wings to the mix? Well that’s all fine and dandy but these are both really messy foods that are going to take forever to clean up once your kids get done with them, right?
Wrong! We’ve found the solution for that too!
The Wet-Nap canister.
Yep! You read that right!
Wet-Nap products are made specifically with people in mind and the canister makes it a super easy (not to mention portable) way for kids to help clean up the mess!
Admittedly, I was a little worried that while Nicholas wanted to watch football while eating his wings with daddy, I would be cleaning up sticky little finger prints for days to come. Fortunately, I set out the Wet-Nap canister and he knew just what to do with it.
Cleaning up his little fingers, and even handing daddy a Wet-Nap or two, was a breeze for him and it can be for your family as well!
Just print the Wet-Nap coupon (while supplies last), head on over to your local Walmart and enjoy!
