Painting with Q-Tips is not only a fun way to switch things up every once in a while, but it’s also a fantastic way to work on those developing fine motor skills!
Add in things like letters, numbers, or even shapes, and you add another level of learning to an already educational activity.
While traditional Do-A-Dot printables do help your child work on their fine motor skills, Q-Tip painting cards like these provide an even greater small motor muscle workout and truly allow your child to start working on proper pencil grasp.
The addition of the uppercase letters of the alphabet gives your preschooler an excellent way to practice those early literacy skills that they’ve been learning as well!

There’s almost no prep on your part!
Just print them off and cut each page in half. That’s it!
When you’re ready to use them, simply set them out in your literacy center along with some Q-Tips and a few small jars of paint.
If you’d like to avoid the mess of paint, you can also use some different colored ink pads or even crayons and have your child work on creating their letters by coloring in each of the circles.
Want to reuse them again and again?
Laminate a set and pair them with some colored gems or even mini erasers and have your child build the letter using those.
These alternative uses could present you with an incredible learning opportunity as you could try to find themed mini erasers that start with the letter that you’re working on or work to create patterns using various colored gems.
