Over the years we’ve released a number of spot and dot sets.
What started as a simple set of uppercase alphabet Do-A-Dot pages has expanded to include sight words and now, after numerous requests, the lowercase letters of the alphabet as well.
We’ve now got plans for many more Spot and Dot sets that will be shared in the future, but today we’re sharing the long-awaited set of lowercase letter Spot and Dot alphabet pages!
Just like the uppercase version of these Do-A-Dot pages, this printable set includes a separate page for every lowercase letter of the alphabet, giving your little learner plenty of space to work.
Lowercase Alphabet Do-A-Dot Pages
When we first start introducing the lowercase letters of the alphabet, we do so one at a time and use these pages as we introduce each letter.
They not only allow us to work on fine motor skills as we dot the letters but also letter recognition at the same time.
Each page lists the lowercase letter that you’ll be looking for on that page in the bottom left corner and then, of course, there are multiple dots for you to look through and dot with your Do-A-Dot markers or bingo daubers.
If you’re making a preschool alphabet book to introduce the letters, you could use these lowercase Spot and Dot pages to supplement the lowercase alphabet crafts or any other letter of the week curriculum.
Personally, we like to use them in a number of different ways for extra practice. While we might start off using a set with Do-A-Dot markers, we’ll use them again with a set of circle stickers or even colored glass gems for even more fine motor practice.
If you’re looking to avoid the mess that can accompany Do-A-Dot markers, you could easily substitute either of those to retain the fine motor element without the mess.
