Setting up a game day taco bar is the perfect way to satisfy all of your guests because they can pick and choose what they want for themselves and Avocados from Mexico make both of these recipes absolutely irresistible topping choices, but in the end, it’s all about the heat. How much can you take?
If you prefer a cool and creamy topping on your tacos, then pay attention!
This Avocado Lime “Sauce” comes together in 5 minutes flat and adds that little something special to your tacos that you didn’t even know you were missing.
Avocado Lime “Sauce”
- 2 ripe Avocados from Mexico, pitted and peeled
- 1/4 cup white onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 garlic clove or 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Juice from 1 lime
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Now, you could simply mash up your avocados, mix these all together and call it good. It would certainly still be delicious!
We, however, like to go ahead and run ours through the food processor just to give it that extra creamy texture!
Need a little bit more of a kick when it comes to your tacos? Don’t worry! We’ve got an option for you as well 🙂
This spicy guacamole has just the right amount of kick and really steps up those game day tacos!
Simple Spicy Guacamole
- 3 ripe Avocados from Mexico
- 2 medium tomatoes, seeded
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Again, pit and peel your avocados and mash them up. Scoop the seeds out of your tomatoes and remove the seeds from your jalapeno peppers and chop them all up.
Mix everything together thoroughly and either serve it up the way it is or run it through the food processor like we did for a slightly creamier texture.
And that’s it! See, I told you! Less than 10 minutes and you have 2 perfect topping choices for your game day taco bar! Now all you need are the tacos!
