Knowing the difference between the upper and lowercase versions of a letter is a skill that will come in handy as your child learns to read.
Now, obviously, some letters are easier to distinguish than others.
An uppercase R, for instance, looks completely different than its lowercase counterpart. An uppercase M, on the other hand, looks almost identical to the lowercase version other than its size.
These fishy letter differentiation printables give you a fantastic way to practice telling the difference between the two.
With all 26 letters of the alphabet included in this printable set, your little learner will have plenty of chances to practice recognizing and differentiating between the upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
Upper and Lowercase Letter Differentiation
These printable fishy themed alphabet pages are not only adorable, but they’re also NO PREP!
Just print them off and they’re ready to go!
Obviously, you can use them as is, but you could also use them to supplement a letter of the week curriculum or even just as a way to review once you have covered all of the upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet with your preschooler or kindergartner.
The directions for each are very simple.
Just work your way through the pages coloring the uppercase letters of the alphabet blue and the lowercase versions red.
All 26 letters of the alphabet are included and each one is printed on its own page giving your child plenty of room to work.
If they have just learned all of their letters, both upper and lowercase, start off with just one at a time. You don’t want to overwhelm them with all of the letters at once.
When they’ve successfully completed one, move on to the next and keep going until you have mastered differentiating between the uppercase and lowercase version of each letter of the alphabet.
